Diabetes: The Hurley Diabetes Center at Hurley Medical Center (HMC) offers inpatient and outpatient services for individuals with diabetes. Services are offered for adults, children, seniors and diabetes during pregnancy at several satellite locations.
Adolescent Weight Management Program: The goals of the program are to make changes that will improve the physical and emotional health of children. This program promotes a healthy life through healthy eating, increased physical activity, and better self-esteem.
Asthma: Hurley works in conjunction with AIM (Asthma Initiative of Michigan) Program. This program has developed an Asthma Communication Network website: www.GetAsthmaHelp.org and an Asthma Provider Tool Kit for health care professionals.This program strives to help those with asthma co-manage their disease.
Safety: HHS works closely with the Physician Organization (PMC), hospital and health plans to promote safety issues pertaining to patient care such as medication errors and patient falls. Physicians are encouraged to utilize those programs offered through the hospital or plans.
