Gynecologic Conditions We Treat
We offer comprehensive care for complex gynecologic conditions. Below you'll find information about conditions we commonly diagnose and treat. If you're experiencing symptoms, we encourage you to schedule an evaluation.
Adenomyosis
Adenomyosis occurs when uterine lining tissue grows into the muscular wall of the uterus, leading to heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding, severe cramping, pelvic pressure, and an enlarged, tender uterus.
Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a chronic condition in which tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, often causing pelvic pain, painful periods, pain with intercourse, bowel or bladder discomfort, and fertility challenges.
High Risk for Breast Cancer
Being at high risk for breast cancer means having factors — such as family history, genetics, or prior breast conditions — that increase the chance of developing breast cancer. People at higher risk may benefit from earlier or more frequent screening and preventive care.
HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
HPV is a common virus spread through intimate skin-to-skin contact. Most infections clear on their own, but some types can cause genital warts or lead to cervical and other cancers. Regular screening and vaccination help prevent complications.
Menopause
Menopause occurs when a person has gone 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period and may include symptoms like hot flashes, vaginal dryness, sleep problems, weight changes, and decreased energy due to lower estrogen levels.
Perimenopause
Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause, marked by fluctuating hormones and irregular periods, often accompanied by symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, sleep disturbances, and brain fog.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
PCOS is a hormonal disorder characterized by irregular or absent menstrual cycles, elevated androgen levels, and ovulatory dysfunction, commonly causing symptoms such as acne, excess facial or body hair, weight gain, insulin resistance, scalp hair thinning, and fertility challenges.
Uterine Fibroids
Uterine fibroids are common, non-cancerous growths in or on the uterus. They may cause symptoms like heavy periods or pelvic pressure, though some people have no symptoms. Treatment depends on symptoms and individual needs.
